Good afternoon, friends. How have y’all week been going? I hope all is well. As for me, I can not complain! God is Good all the time and All the time, God is Good! Amen!! Well, to get into today’s post, I just wanted to talk to y’all a little bit about faith, a five letter word that means so much. In Hebrews, Chapter 11, verse 1 it says, “To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.” This just simply means that faith is believing and trusting in God that everything will turn out the way we hope. Which brings me to hope, faith and hope goes hand in hand because without hope we cannot have faith simply because if faith is hoping and believing, having faith without hope is logically impossible. For Romans 8: 24 says, ” For it was by hope that we were saved; but if we see what we hope for, then it is not really hope. For who of us hopes for something we see?” The answer is no one. Why would we hope for what we can see? That is like having a car parked outside your house with your name on it and looking out the window saying to yourself,”One day that car will be mine!!” Who does that? No one because the car is already theirs. But the Bible goes on to say in the next verse, “But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” And as we wait in patience we don’t have to worry because if we are hoping for what we can not see, having faith everyday, we can be SURE that what we hope will surely come to pass. And it will, that’s the point of having faith.
Faith alone can not save us even though hope may because hope ignites faith inside of us but it DO NOT and you CAN NOT STOP there. Having faith is not just saying you believe or saying you have hope. It is by the attitude and the works you display that makes your faith effective. The Bible says in James 4:17, ” So it is with faith: If it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead.” Simply to say, without hoping, believing, trusting, and in everything you do showing God that you have faith, your faith means nothing; it is dead. What is actions? It is walking in faith that are the actions and if you have the actions to show that you have faith, then it is not dead. Walking in faith is not doubting anything nor worrying but knowing from within that everything you are believing in God for, will come to pass.
Therefore, in closing I want to encourage you all to have faith. God doesn’t want you to drag through life barely getting by. Worrying about how the light bill will get paid, what will you eat, when will you get another job. No! Jesus says, “cast all you cares on him because he careth for you.” (1 Peter 5:7) He don’t want y’all to walk around defeated and stressed because how will he get the glory out of your life. He wants you to have His very best; to lift your head up high and walk in faith. Knowing and believe that He, God, is in control, He is on your side, and everything will be alright. If you believe and receive that, say Amen!!
